Transgenders Compete in Women’s Hurdles, where Hurdle Height is Six Inches Shorter than Men’s
CeCe Telfer, formerly known as Craig, has become a NCAA track champion. After
finishing eighth in a field of nine in the Men’s 400 at the Middlebury Winter Classic in Vermont (January 2018),
CeCe now finishes first competing in the Women’s 400 NCAA Championship (May 2019).
Although Telfer underwent gender reassignment surgery, Telfer still has, and will
always have XY chromosomes, giving him superior physical advantages to women. Running as a woman, Telfer
also benefits from women’s hurdles that are six inches shorter than the men’s. Telfer’s coach Emerson “claims
that the vast improvement she is displaying this current season versus the previous three comes down to the
increased effort she’s put in.”
At Chromosome Sports, we are adamant that only women with XX chromosomes should be able to compete
against each other. Biological men have XY chromosomes and should compete in their own category. Show your
