England’s Rugby Football Union (RFU) and Rugby Football League (RFL) will restrict
transgender participation in the game, recommending that only players recorded as female at birth be allowed
to play in the women’s category. The RFU had started a review of its policy regarding transgender athletes in
2020, receiving over 11,000 responses from the public. The RFU said that its new rule will “ensure fair
competition and safety of all competitors.” World rugby banned transgender players from competing at the
elite level in the women’s game in 2021, citing safety concerns.

English Rugby is making the right decisions. Males have immense physical advantages
from birth. These advantages of muscle mass, speed, height and bone density cannot be reversed, and
represent significant advantages in the extremely physical sport of Rugby. Men born with XY chromosomes
remain men, and sports should protect women born with XX chromosomes -- #bornXX.

As you seen, public involvement and the writing of 11,000 responses to the League made a difference. Your
voice matters. Your opinion counts. Don’t check out of this fight.
